Director of Member Services (Downtown Seattle)

Director of Member Services (Long standing trade association in commercial real estate)
Non-exempt, at will staff position in a five person office in downtown Seattle. Position open immediately
Position Responsibilities (Being our member's "easy button")
î Membership services and support
î Membership development, retention and recruitment
î Marketing, branding and public relations
î Marketing and sales of sponsorship programs
î Web site management, associate web editor
î Social media management
î Coordination, management and marketing of networking events
î Meeting and event coordination and registration management
î Venue coordination
î Database management and record keeping
î Membership directory publication
î Contributor and associate editor for E-communications
î Liaison with several committees
î Vendors and supplier interaction
î Research as assigned
î Developing and maintaining functional relationships with other industry associations
î Support to the association President
Qualifications
Proven, verifiable and consistently superior customer service skills
Positive and upbeat attitude
Proven track record of positive working relationships with others
Strong work ethic and attendance record
Able to maintain energetic and fast pace when needed
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task while remaining detail oriented
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Must be motivated, comfortable and capable of marketing and selling (while only a small portion of the position, a critical function is promoting and selling within the membership various sponsorship opportunities and some publication advertising)
Ability to organize and manage small and large events and meetings
Proficient/above average technology and computer skills
Proficient in the PC environment and on current MS programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and some Excel
Proficient typing/keyboarding and data entry skills
Proficient with social media and web site administration
While working in a downtown Seattle location able to occasionally work early mornings or early evening events
Occasional use of personal vehicle for transporting items to and from events (parking and miles reimbursed)
Possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and manage projects in order to meet deadlines.
Extraordinary Qualifications (Might distinguish candidate selection)
Bachelors degree in communications or marketing or other related field
Graphic design, flyer development
Proficiency with the software programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
Experience with ACT database program
Skills and experience in video capture and editing
Skills with photography
Advanced skills in web site administration
IT knowledge with network systems, loading programs, resolving software and hardware issues
While a PC environment -- some Mac experience and skills
An outstanding personality and positive attitude
